1. General information
The undergraduate dissertation or end-of-degree project consists of the preparation, under the supervision of one or two directors, of a written report of a maximum of 25 pages on a subject related to one of the modules of the degree, and its oral presentation.
The approaches and objectives of this module are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda; the learning activities could contribute to some extent to the achievement of the goals 4 (quality education), 5 (gender equality), 8 (decent work and economic growth), and 10 (reducing inequality).
2. Learning results
- Analyse a mathematical problem by himself/herself.
- Write mathematical texts in a ordered, rigurous way, according to the expected reader.
- Use scientific text processors, particularly LaTeX.
- Search the literature through MathSciNet, zbMATH, arxiv...
- Present mathematical results to a non specialised audience.

5. Assessment system
The evaluation will be based both in the written report and the oral presentation, in accordance to the intendend learning results.
The project director will issue a reasoned report including a score. The student will present the dissertation to a committee of teachers of the departments involved in the degree. This committee will decide the final score according to the following rule: a 30% will be based on the director's score; another 30%, on the written dissertation; the remaining 40%, on the oral presentation.
